Reviews of Science Fiction and Fantasy novels by Jessica Strider, a bookseller at the World's Biggest Bookstore in Toronto, Canada. A monthly listing of upcoming fantasy and science fiction books, themed reading lists and author interviews.
I work in the science fiction and fantasy section of the World's Biggest Bookstore in Toronto. In addition to my regular duties, I also plan themed endcaps and author interview displays.
From September 2010 until December 2012 I contributed book reviews and New Author Spotlight posts to SF Signal.
I've got a BA in Medieval History from the University of Toronto.
I'm a long time crafter and have been card crafting for a few years, first using photos I took and now using lots of stamps and fun embellishments.

Book Review Requests
***Closed to Review Requests***
I'm taking this year (2012) to read the books on my shelves I haven't read, and to lower my tbr pile. If I'd agreed to review a book for you I will, in the usual time frame (mentioned below), otherwise, I'm closed to review requests for the year - or until this message disappears.
You might enjoy this Mr. Media podcast interview with Dave Gibbons, co-creator and artist of Watchmen, as he discusses the Warner Bros./Fox dispute, being on the set during production, and what he thinks of the trailer and the rough cut he saw of Watchmen. He also talks about the possibility of working with Frank Miller and the message he took to Alan Moore from Will Eisner. Here's the link!
Cool, thanks. I had to search Dave Gibbons from where the link left me (didn't take me to the actual interview) but the interview was quite interesting.
